TinyRetroPad, built by former Microsoft engineer Dave Plummer, is a 2.73KB Notepad alternative that uses Windows API components instead of bloat. It includes find and replace, word wrap, fonts, and printing, but lacks tab support. Memory spikes to 500MB on launch due to Crinkler compression, then drops below 50MB.
