Googlebooks Launch With Android-Based OS

Google will launch five Googlebook laptops on Oct. 5, running GooglebookOS built on the Android kernel instead of ChromeOS. The OS adds app casting and wireless file sharing but may have compatibility issues at launch. Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite powers some models, not the newer X2. A Linux terminal runs in a secure virtual machine.
