Linux kernel 7.2 now requires x86 CPUs to support the Time Stamp Counter (TSC) before booting, refusing to boot without it. Unlike Windows 11's TPM 2.0 demand, TSC has existed since 1993, so nearly all modern processors already meet the requirement.
