Israeli Ad Firm Serves Spyware via Ads

Researchers found Israeli firm Discover-Tech served zero-click spyware via ads to at least 45 devices at Al Jazeera in 2024 and 2025. The company operates platform Controlium, which allows partners to profile and infect users without their action. Google and Beeswax have since removed the firm from their platforms, while IAB Europe suspended it.
