NSL, a new open-source tool, gives Linux hosts persistent Linux machines, similar to WSL on Windows. Each machine runs as a systemd-nspawn container in one small VM, starts on use, and shares the host home directory. Seven signed distros are supported, rebuilt weekly. Version 0.4.0 is the first release of this design, with no stable release yet.
