Researchers Manas Tiwari and Deepak Bharti present a self-powered door sensor using ground-up garlic peel and polyethylene. The device generates 210 VAC and 45 µA with a single side, rising to 400 VAC and 65 µA with a dual-side layer. It survived 200 stress cycles and remained functional after half a year in storage.
