Non-technical founder builds SaaS from mum's crisis expertise

Jack Sykes built Friday4:30, an incident management platform for food and drink brands, after his mother Emma Sykes identified the need from decades of product recall experience. The London-based SaaS raised £335,000 in pre-seed funding from Haatch. It launched in July 2025 and targets the underserved mid-market sector.
