Turning Energy Drinks Into Rocket Fuel

Nate Scovill processed cans of energy drinks into rocket candy, a solid fuel combining sugar with potassium nitrate as an oxidizer. The project demonstrates that sugary soda can substitute for pure sucrose or sorbitol in homemade rocket propulsion.
