OpenAI Expands ChatGPT Plugins With App-Like Interfaces

At Dev Day on Tuesday, OpenAI said developers can build app-like experiences inside ChatGPT using plugin extensions, giving apps a dedicated sidebar home and interactive panels. A new Plugin Creator tool and redesigned submission flow simplify building and discovery. ChatGPT Sites can host plugins, and support for the proposed MCP Events specification enables event-triggered automations.
