Rivet built a SQLite storage engine using a virtual filesystem to run millions of isolated databases with zero-disk compute. Pages group into 256 KiB chunks, offloading idle data to S3 after 7 days. The hot tier runs on RocksDB, Postgres, or FoundationDB.
