Workers at the Guai Guai snack factory in Zhongli, Taiwan, voted 94% to strike after the company announced a September 1 relocation to Hsinchu and offered a 5% raise. The union demands written severance guarantees and a NT$10,000 monthly increase, citing a NT$5.6 billion sale of the site to ASE. Negotiations continue this week.
