Xbox tests disc-to-digital conversion for physical games

Microsoft is internally testing a feature that converts Xbox One and Series X/S discs into digital licenses. This program bonds the game to its specific disc, preventing sharing while allowing trade-ins via streaming on Game Pass or PC Play Anywhere devices. The initiative excludes original Xbox and Xbox 360 titles but may not support every Xbox One release depending on manufacturing dates.
