Google Bans Videostrong After Botnet

Google announced Monday it dismantled the XCPE botnet affecting 1.3 million Android devices. The malware came from Videostrong Technology, a China-based manufacturer. Google took legal action to seize domains and servers, likely severing access to at least 10 million other devices.
