VLC takes up to 33 seconds to play MP3 files on Windows 11 after a Microsoft Defender bug quarantines the plugin cache. Game developer Jonathan Blow criticized open-source software, but the VideoLAN team says reinstalling VLC or regenerating the cache fixes it.
