Federal prosecutors revealed that former OpenAI engineer Abdulrahman Alfozan was arrested last week after being mere days away from fleeing to Saudi Arabia. The 35-year-old Saudi national, who worked at the ChatGPT maker since July 2025, concealed an audio recording device in a television. Prosecutors allege he planned to join an artificial intelligence venture launched in Saudi Arabia.
