Honda and Nissan signed a joint development agreement to standardize electronic control units, an in-vehicle operating system, middleware, and vehicle control software, with first cars arriving from fiscal 2029. The deal follows their collapsed merger talks in February 2025. Neither company disclosed costs or savings.
