Pakistan launches crypto crime investigation unit

Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency established a dedicated unit to probe crypto-related cybercrime and financial fraud. FIA Counter-Terrorism Wing Director Muhammad Athar Waheed recommended other agencies create similar units. The move follows the July 2025 creation of the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, which licensed Binance and HTX.
