Google India AI Hub Cleared for 2.51GW

Google's $15bn Andhra Pradesh AI datacentre has state environmental clearance for 2.51GW, more than double the 1GW announced, per Guardian-seen papers. The state approved it in nine days without a public hearing. The Human Rights Forum filed three petitions at India's National Green Tribunal, with a separate case before the Andhra Pradesh High Court. The tribunal has not yet decided.
