CNET Labs testing found the AirPods Pro 3 heart rate sensor averaged 1.67% error versus a Polar H10 chest strap, second only to the Apple Watch Series 11 at 0.98%. The earbuds beat every other smartwatch and fitness tracker tested. A peer-reviewed PLOS Digital Health study reported a 2.02% deviation across 40 adults.
