Crunchbase data shows 195 acquisitions of AI startups occurred through Sept. 29, a 14% increase over all of 2025. OpenAI led with 20 deals, while legal tech firm Harvey made four purchases including Guardrails AI on Sept. 9. Nscale paid $1.65 billion for Anyscale in the largest recorded transaction.
