NASA Captures Rare Pacific Cyclone Trio

NASA's DSCOVR satellite captured a rare trio of tropical cyclones in the northeastern Pacific: hurricanes Lowell and Karina plus tropical storm Marie. Lowell reached Category 5 strength on September 2, while Karina hit Category 4 simultaneously. The World Meteorological Organization forecasts El Niño will persist through February 2027.
