A developer reverse-engineered the Travelbound Android app by intercepting its network traffic. The app delivered itinerary data as JSON from a simple URL. The developer wrote a Ruby script to fetch the JSON and build a static HTML page, replacing a 43MB app with a 0.05MB webpage.
