Russia Adds Apple to Surveillance Registry

Russia's Roskomnadzor listed Apple and Microsoft on October 2 as information dissemination organizers. Companies must preserve audio and video messages for three years or face fines and service restrictions. This follows a December 2025 FaceTime block and existing bans on WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and Viber.
