Heart Aerospace's X1, the world's largest battery-electric aircraft, completed a 27-minute maiden flight in New York using over 1 MW of power and about $5 of electricity. The 106-foot-wingspan demonstrator precedes the 30-seat hybrid-electric ES-30 airliner, targeted for 2031 service.
