Capcom released the first significant Steam patch for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 since 2017, adding Windows 11 compatibility and bug fixes. The update broke Jean Grey's Dark Phoenix transformation, leaving her to die instead of transforming. It also removed the community-favored 'Kubota escape' mechanic and broke many mods.
