Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, the first full-length film shot solely with 1570 IMAX cameras, will be fully viewable in only about 40 theaters worldwide, including 26 in the US and 3 in the UK. The 172-minute runtime requires 2.1 million feet of film weighing 846 lbs. IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond said no new film projectors have been made in about 50 years.
