Vehicle repair prices have risen over 40 percent since 2020, partly due to complex sensors and powertrains. IIHS-HLDI data shows driver-aid-equipped cars have 10 percent higher collision claim severity but 10 percent lower claim frequency, cutting overall collision losses about 5 percent.
