Curious robots learn language twice as fast

Researchers at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology built a virtual robot with a brain-inspired neural network. Robots rewarded for curiosity learned language in half the time. Curious robots began knocking things over and experimenting without being programmed to do so.
