EC launches quantum and AI skill academies

The European Commission launched three digital skill academies in quantum, GenAI, and virtual worlds during the Digital Skills Awards 2026 ceremony in Brussels. The quantum branch received €19.8m in funding. The European Quantum Academy aims to train at least 600 quantum professionals and reach 5,000 learners.
