F-Droid 2.0 Launches After Decade

F-Droid, the community-run free and open source Android app store, released version 2.0, its first major update in 10 years. The client was rebuilt from scratch in Kotlin Compose, adding Material theming, expanded categories, description search and CJK support. A unified installer uses Android's pre-approval API, enabled by the EU's Digital Markets Act, to speed installs. Rollout continues over coming weeks.
