Uber Redesigns M3DB Sharding with Subclusters

Uber has redesigned shard placement in its M3DB time series database by introducing fixed-size subclusters to limit the impact of node failures, maintenance, and scaling. The change addresses a previous model where a node failure could affect up to 66.67% of the cluster.
