AMD Acquires World Labs for $8.2 Billion

AMD agreed to acquire AI research firm World Labs in an all-stock deal worth about $8.2 billion. Co-founder Fei-Fei Li will join AMD as executive vice president and chief scientist, reporting to CEO Lisa Su. The deal, expected to close by the end of the year pending regulatory approval, is AMD's second-largest acquisition after Xilinx.
