Developer Donenfeld released the kwin-type utility version 0.1 today to address auto-typing gaps in KDE Plasma 6.8 under Wayland. The tool uses orgkdekwinfakeinput and orgkdekwinkeystate protocols to allow CLI applications to type text cleanly without requiring /dev/uinput or virtual-keyboard-unstable-v1 workarounds, solving issues previously found in existing utilities.
