The global music trade body IFPI announced the Streaming Integrity Initiative on September 14 in London. The initiative asks music distributors to implement five anti-fraud practices to combat fake streams that siphon royalties from legitimate artists. Twenty-seven companies, including Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group, and Warner Music Group, are signatories at launch.
