China data centers to surpass South Korea power use

Chinese data centers could consume 774 TWh of electricity annually by 2030, a fourfold increase, exceeding South Korea's total power use. Wood Mackenzie projects this will represent around 6% of China's electricity. Data centers are relocating to cheaper regions when latency isn't critical.
