Meta Ignores AI Comedy Theft Complaints

Stand-up comedian Julia Jasunas reported an AI-generated influencer named Aylen Skye to Meta for stealing her joke, but the platform stated it did not violate community guidelines because the account was not impersonating her. WIRED identified eight other comics whose viral clips were replicated by AI-generated women, with some accounts amassing over 375,000 followers since August.
