MeitY may notify IT rule on intermediary compliance

MeitY may separately notify Rule 3(4) of the IT Rules, 2021, requiring intermediaries to comply with ministry advisories, SOPs, and guidelines. Non-compliance could attract legal action. The provision was first proposed in amendments released for public consultation on March 30.
