PhonePe launched PhonePe UPI 123Pay, bringing UPI payments to feature phones without internet, targeting over 20 crore users. The SMS-based service is pre-installed on Nokia, HMD, Lava, and Itel devices. PhonePe acquired Gupshup's GSPay technology in June 2025 for this launch.
