OpenWrt shipped version 24.10.8 to fix a critical DHCPv6 stack overflow tracked as CVE-2026-53921 with a CVSS score of 9.8. An unauthenticated attacker can overwrite a stack buffer in odhcpd running as root through a crafted DHCPv6 REQUEST on UDP port 547.
