Gemini replaced Zebra with Zakura to run its Zcash systems, cutting network catch-up time from nearly a day to just over six hours. The switch precedes Zcash's NU7 upgrade, targeted for Nov. 5, which would reduce block times from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. Gemini has not published tests of Zakura under the faster schedule.
