T-Mobile exits VMware, fights Broadcom over support

T-Mobile is transitioning away from VMware and suing Broadcom over support rights. The carrier runs VMware on 303,000 CPU cores for its internal network. A 2023 deal included perpetual licenses and two years of support, but Broadcom stopped selling perpetual licenses and reduced VMware's product range to two subscription bundles.
