Nintendo of America confirmed a third-party data breach via the TinyPulse survey platform. The Shadowbyt3$ hacking group stole roughly 1GB of employee data and demanded a $2 million ransom. Nintendo stated no customer or financial data was affected, and most stolen information is dated years back.
