Xpeng Plans European EV Production Expansion

Xpeng executive Yeqing Zheng states the company will expand European production by Oct 12 to comply with EU local content rules. The new line targets mid-level vehicles and must start before the rules take effect. A decision occurs within months, though finding a battery supplier with the right energy density remains challenging.
