Rocket Lab buys Iridium for $8 billion

Rocket Lab agreed to acquire Iridium Communications for $8 billion, paying $27 cash plus stock per share. The deal gives Rocket Lab Iridium's satellite network with over 2.5 million subscribers and licensed L-band spectrum. It is Rocket Lab's fifth acquisition in roughly a year, expected to close in mid-2027.
