Xiaomi cleared to build extended-range EVs at Beijing plant

Xiaomi EV received regulatory approval from China's MIIT to produce extended-range electric passenger vehicles, moving beyond battery electric vehicles. The approval supports the launch of a new mid to large-size model in the second half of this year, part of Xiaomi's 2026 expansion plan.
