Apple Maps Blurs China Detention Sites

Apple Maps has begun blurring military and alleged detention facilities across China, according to the BBC. The blurring, visible only outside China, comes from local data provider AMap, owned by Alibaba. Apple says it must comply with local laws. Google, Bing and Baidu do not blur the detention sites, and AMap's own global app leaves them visible.
