OpenAI Disproves Exponential Time Hypothesis

OpenAI announced on Monday that its internal AI model disproved the Exponential Time Hypothesis on 16 October. The company verified the result in Lean the next day and published the write-up on GitHub. Researchers led by Russell Impagliazzo will examine the claim, while OpenAI donated $5m to the Simons Foundation for related conferences.
