E*TRADE launched spot cryptocurrency trading for eligible retail clients through a partnership with Zero Hash. Clients can buy, sell, and hold Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana alongside traditional investments. Trades carry a 50-basis-point fee. Custody services are handled through separate Zero Hash accounts not covered by FDIC or SIPC protections.
