Cloudflare Launches Post-Quantum GeoKey Manager Beta

Cloudflare launched a post-quantum rebuild of GeoKey Manager into closed beta on October 23 for existing Data Localization Suite customers. The service replaces attribute-based encryption with a hybrid scheme using ML-KEM-768 and X25519 to protect geographically fenced decryption keys. General availability is planned for the first quarter of 2027, addressing data sovereignty rules and harvest-now decrypt-later attacks.
