OpenAI released the Agents API as a public beta, giving developers the same infrastructure that runs Codex and ChatGPT. The managed service runs on the open-source Codex harness and supports OpenAI-hosted, self-hosted, or nine partner sandboxes including Cloudflare, Vercel, and Oracle.
